The Glory of Fall

Today is one of those days that reminds me why Fall is my favorite season. Though the wind is blowing pretty strongly and it's only 52 degrees, the sky is blue and the sun is shining on a world gone golden. If I could take a picture that would do it justice, I would post the view from our front window, but I know a picture would not capture that real essence of the beauty around me. I get such a beautiful feeling--like the Spirit--filling me up when I see the golden trees, the slanting sunshine, the hillsides across the river covered in rows of rusty-colored fruit trees, the sparkles on the river. I just can't adequately describe it, but it feels like a tender mercy to me.
Love,
Mom
